The BMF, with the promotion of Horizon2020 in Catalonia
In October, the BMF attended the meeting about the Horizon2020 Programme (H2020) held in Catalonia to reveal news and share the experience of other centres and evaluators of European projects. H2020 will allocate a budget of more than 1,800 million euros towards the social challenge “Health, demographic change and well-being” in the next 3 years. Over the course of the session dedicated to this subject, the complexity and requirement of the work involved in managing these projects were highlighted, with success rates of between 3 and 7%.
The objective of H2020 is to contribute to the creation of a knowledge-based economy. Over the course of the day the need for emphasising the impact of the projects, the integration of research and innovation, the reinforcement of bottom-up activities, as well as the improvement of company’s access to financing was stressed.
