Dr. Jordi Monés to lecture in Ripoll on Tuesday, 12 November
Dr. Jordi Monés, the Medical Director of the Barcelona Macula Foundation, will give a lecture on advances in research into the treatment of macular degeneration (AMD) and other retinal diseases at the Eudald Graells Room in Ripoll on Tuesday, 12 November.
Organised by the Josep Palau Francàs Foundation with the collaboration of Ripoll Town Council, the event will commence at 4.30 p.m. and will be open to the general public. Dr. Monés, an ophthalmologist who specialises in diseases of the macula, retina and vitreous, will inform those attending about the different pathologies which cause blindness and for which there is no cure at present.
The Josep Palau Francàs Foundation, has collaborated for the past two years with the Barcelona Macula Foundation in research to improve the quality of life of older people who suffer diseases which cause blindness.
