The Catalan Association of Visual Impairement honors Dr. Jordi Monés for his research on AMD

The Catalan Association of Visual Impairement: B1 + B2 + B3 (ADVC) has awarded last night the prize “Scientific Research” to Dr. Jordi Mones Carilla for his studies Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) during the act of Awards of the Vision 2011.

Who is director of the Institute of Retina Macula and Teknon Medical Center also received the award for his constant concern to improve the quality of life of visually impaired people from his area of work.

The ADVC is a nonprofit entity whose purpose is to serve people with visual disabilities to improve their quality of life and achieve better social integration of the collective. The event, in which 10 awards were distributed and held in the Casa del Mar in Barcelona, became a news event, vindictive and a tribute to the persons or entities who have worked to better social integration of people with visual disability in our country.
