Silver Session

SilVer Session is a meeting point where those who are blind or who have low vision learn to use the different apps and devices. The aim is for them to gain the maximum benefit, making their daily activities and adaptation to the environment easier and giving them greater autonomy.

Sessions scheduled:

  • Be my eyes: volunteers provide immediate online help to anyone who requires it.
  • Voicedream Reader: reader of any type of document.
  • Tap Tap See: if we take a photo, the app will tell us what it is.
  • KNFB Reader: text recognition.
  • Medicamento Accesible Plus: Access to information about medicines.

The session is organised by considering to whom it is addressed, the user’s functionality and the ease of use, among other factors. Comprising 4-5 students, the sessions last 1-2 hours and take place at the Institut de la Màcula, which is located at the Teknon Medical Centre.

If you would like to attend a SilVer Session to learn how to use the different apps and devices, please call 935950538 or send an e-mail to info@barcelonamaculafound.org with your personal details (first name and surnames, telephone number, the session you would like to attend and whether you will be accompanied) and we will let you know about availability.
