The Catalan Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired: B1+B2+B3 holds the 6th Tiflollibre Festival

Every year, the Catalan Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired: B1+B2+B3 organises the Tiflollibre Festival. This is a cultural, social and inclusive project whose purpose is to foster reading in braille and reading aloud as well as to promote reading habits in society.

The sixth edition of the Festival will be held at 7 pm on May 22 at the Caixa Fòrum in Barcelona. The event will pay homage to Julio Cortazar and Joan Vinyoli on the centenary of their births and will feature poetry recitals and literary fragments interspersed with musical performances.

Among the guest readers are the writer and journalist Blanca Busquets, the actor and theatre director Marc Martínez, the writer Gemma Lienas, and as guest of honour, the director of the Catalan Arts Institute (ILC), Laura Borràs.

The Association will donate the funds raised at the event to the NGO Òptics x mÓn, so that it may continue providing access to visual health to those who most need it in the third and fourth world.

The Catalan Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired: B1+B2+B3 was founded in 2009 with the aim of helping and improving the quality of life of the visually impaired in Catalonia. Its tasks include promoting research of eye diseases, an undertaking that enjoys the collaboration of the Barcelona Macula Foundation: Research for Vision.
