Sons Of Our Planet is launched with an exhibition at the BMF’s premises
The BMF has launched Sons Of Our Planet, an initiative that uses photographs by Dr. Jordi Monés to provide financial support for research. This is a selection of images taken by the Medical Director of the BMF on his journeys around the world and which are now available for purchase through our website. The funds raised will go to the research projects the Foundation is currently carrying out and towards increasing efforts to start others that are at the point of implementation but awaiting funding. To celebrate the sounding of the project’s starting gun, the Foundation has equipped some of the spaces it shares with the Institut de la Màcula at the Teknon-Quirónsalud Medical Centre so that the collection can be exhibited in the best conditions.
The endless desert, the beauty of the seao or temples of age-old spirituality we’re placing at the disposal of the public in electronic formats or in high quality paper
The collection is a compendium of landscapes, portraits, wildlife and snapshots of nature and humanity. The photos have been taken with awareness and sensitivity at locations in Asia, Africa, America and Europe. Contrasts, the endless desert, the beauty of the sea or temples of age-old spirituality that we are placing at the disposal of the public in three different electronic measurements and in a Premium format: high-quality photographic printing, produced by VisualKorner, framed and with a certificate of authenticity signed by Dr. Monés.
Initiative for the research
Dr. Monés’s initiative, Sons Of Our Planet, is aimed at increasing awareness of the damage caused by degenerative diseases of the retina and of the need to raise private funds for the advancement of research in Catalonia. It does so by displaying the beauty of the world around us and deserves our full attention.
